How it Works
Step 1: Review the course catalog
Learn more about the objectives for each course and review what will be expected from each student. These are college-level courses and require college-level work. The courses are self-paced, and students who enroll in a course have up to a full calendar year to complete it.
Step 2: Choose a college or university partner
Review the different college and university partners on the Partners page. Check out the courses that they have approved and their equivalencies. Understand how the course will appear on the transcript when it is successfully completed. Choose a partner that fits with your academic goals, whether that’s a school you would want to enroll in full time or one that aligns with your outlook.
Step 3: Purchase and Register
After selecting the course and the college and university partners, add the course to your cart. The courses are $67 per credit hour, or $200 for a three-hour course. The price includes all the course materials as well as exam proctoring fees and student support coaches.
Step 4: Complete the Course
Students have 15 days from the date of purchase to drop the course with a full refund. On-demand courses are not eligible for a withdrawal.
Each course contains 60 to 70 lessons and combines written material, videos, and quizzes to help students understand the material. The mastery assignments for each course are designed to help students do more than repeat the material. They help students analyze, break it down, and apply it to other situations. Step 5: Request a Transcript
Once you have successfully completed the course with a passing grade, you can request a transcript from the regionally accredited partner institution you selected. You can apply the credit to a future degree at the partner institution or you can transfer the credit to another college or university. Reach out to the school you plan to transfer to so you know exactly how these credits work.

Step 6: Keep Learning
Even after you’ve completed your course, you can still visit your learning dashboard to review the translatable skills and competencies you learned during the TEL course. You can also add to your learning dashboard as you complete new courses, with TEL or on another platform.
